Thanks for that. Very helpful. There seems to be no obvious way to disassemble the motor carrier assembly.

I am invested into the Bosch system because I have a Woodpeckers router plate for it, the edge guide, and 2 fixed bases. One fixed base permanently attached to the router plate (though the height adjustment hex nut is starting to strip out on one of the fixed bases).

That said, I’m not at all impressed with the quality of the Bosch plunge and fixed bases. Problems emerging with both!

Tempted to cut my losses and find a different plunge router to purchase (using my last remaining fixed base to keep my router table going).
