Small world. I took a similar path, however I did realize that the WW II had become dull. Being too lazy to send it off, I went through a couple of Freuds. They’re OK, but not great. Then I got a killer deal on a WW II and ordered it. Like you, I’d forgotten what a new one is like to use. Just cuts like butter.

And, like you, my old dull WW II is going out for sharpening as soon as I get off my lazy butt to send it.
