What TungOil laid out for you is perfect in my opinion. When I make doors I use style and rail shaper cutters. They cut 1/2 in deep groves and stub tenon. I’ve always left the panel clearance at 1/8 inch on each side, top and bottom. 3/16 would be fine too and would give you added safety if you live with wide humidity changes.
