veneer is very thin with a paper backing – if you can mold
a piece of paper around a mayonnaise jar, you can do this project.

I do not have a design program. but maybe another member can
help you out with a simple drawing for building the curved part of the headboard.
if you do not have any experience with wood veneer, it would be best if you
do some research into just how veneer is made and how it is applied.
everyone has their own source to purchase veneer as well as their own techniques
for applying and finishing veneer projects. there are tons of videos (good and bad)
on YouTube on how to apply veneer to flat surfaces. Look around for round projects.
here is just one Veneer Source
what I would do: is find a nice pressed wood molding applique for the ends
of the frame and make the wood frame that size. that would help tie your craftsmanship
together for a really nice project instead of just plain side ends or trying to find something to fit
after it is made.

Thanks for your reply,
I think that building the frame is the first thing to consider about. I imagine it to consists of 4 shaped beams on which a plywood panel will be attached.
But then, what about the top? Should I make a wide and long dowel from beech wood and nail the plywood panel onto it somehow.
I think I need a bit more detailed info about implementation.

Thanks again.
