When I was developing and blogging about my riving knife for Unisaws, Lee contacted me suggesting we might work out a business arrangement. Eventually, that project fizzled, and after assembling a bunch of kits on my own, I came to realize why. They are simply too labor intensive, involving a number of welds (I remember him mentioning that in one of our exchanges), and drilling and tapping, etc. etc. Anyhow, if I hadn’t already committed to that, I would have probably gone for his ARK model, which looks like a good compromise between a true RK and a splitter. I am sorry to learn of his death. My condolences to his family.

-- I admit to being an adrenaline junky; fortunately, I'm very easily frightened
