the one i picked up last summer to replace my delta is a winner, i had left it in the back of my truck whilst i had lunch at a local establishment, when i got home and unloaded the 100 plus degree temps has loosened the joint glue and released, and so had to wait till a new one arrived to try out me new sander, and then once new one arrived, get it installed and adjusted, took some patience, but eventually got it squared away, lots of loosening, tightening, cussing and then almost like the sun coming out on a cloudy day, it all worked out,

Biggest issue i learned the hard way was to ensure the belt clamps on sanding strips engaged correctly, it can be deceiving and once you turn it on, boy howdy it comes loose and makes a racket and if lucky can salvage the strip if end isn’t damaged too bad, only happened once, scared the be jeebus outta me at first.
best of luck, just takes some time to adjust
