Any shellac will yellow the white paint at least some. I have the lightest color available, platina, and its a bit yellow. A good paint is all you need (dont know about the stuff you used). If you still want a clear coat, GF hp poly or Target em9000 are water clear waterbased poly’s. No oil or solvent base finish (except some industrial types) will cure water clear – all have some yellowing.
