JH,

So here is what I came up with. All of my measurements were from the exposed sides of the jointer.

For comparison I found this picture of a DJ-20

Here is a picture of my 490

From the photos it appears that the two are clones.

I have also pulled the parts list for the 490.

Then I measured the center distance between table shafts

As you are facing the jointer, the C to C distance between the left and left center shaft is 11 3/4” and the measurement between the left center & right center shafts is 8 3/4”. I did not measure the right shaft as I did not realize it was hidden by the depth gauge.

The distance from the bed surface for the left, left center, & right center is as follows, 3 7/8, 4, & 3 13/16. I suspect the differences are explained by the eccentric adjustments.

Let me know if this helps, I can check the right shaft tomorrow. I check for a reply to this message.
