@Bill_Steele- I made a small box that is flush with the wall and faced with walnut to hide all the wiring.

20” for the large section and 12” for the short section.

Re: the drawers: the range of motion won’t be restricted. I will mount all the way to the right side, flush with the desk edge.

Now that I think about, i think you guys are right about not drawing attention away from the desk (both my wife and daughters said the same thing!). I will go with just walnut.

Do you think I should just do a regular edge—i.e no other treatment to the edge of the faces or route a profile of some kind?
