”If I were to use the deft brushing lacquer on a project and on the final coat
use their clear wood finish spray can, do the two products play well together
or am I asking for trouble”

Dave ~ this is one of those times when you really need to experiment with
similar products or questionable procedures.

I picked up the brushing Deft back in the early ‘80s and used it
extensively on military award plaques. the only problem I remember
was doing a large photo board with plastic letters with the self-stick adhesive back.
two days later, all the letters were actually sliding off the board and dropping
off onto the floor – - – - very embarrassing.
the adhesive on the back of the letters were NOT compatible with the Deft.
that was my learning curve with brushing lacquer – to always practice first before
doing something that could be problematic after a couple of days.
