Guys if yo ulook at the link he posted, its obvious he’s looking for a blower/motor, not just a motor.

Dan,

First thing, is why do you think you need a 3HP blower? From your description of the set up, you might not need a unit that big. It all depends on the type of machine your collecting and the duct distance. Planers, jointers are very easy to collect shavings from. Saws produce dust and require a lot more CFM’s at the machine.

If you are not planning to install duct work, the Harbor Freight 2HP blower would probably do the job.

FWIW I’m collecting with a 1 1/2HP Jet 1100/Super Dust Deputy cyclone and 6” ducting. By all that I know, it shouldn’t be working very well, but in fact, it does an adequate job. I’m also ducting outside and that makes a huge difference.

The only reason I stuck with that blower, is I couldn’t find a 3HP anywhere (PennState used to carry one) and I didn’t think a 2HP would give that much more performance. I was in the same boat a couple years ago. I couldn’t find a 3HP blower anywhere except Cincinnati fan and it was way out of my budget. I think I heard Oneida will sell a blower only.

-- Everything is a prototype thats why its one of a kind!!
