Take a closer look just to make sure. The upper wheel adjustment system is made with pot metal and will bend and fracture over time with use. Seen it happen twice. Jet, Delta, Harbor Freight and many others all use the same configuration. In picture 5 look at the hinge on the far right. If it’s bent like that it will cause the wheel to rub against the housing. Using another washer will seem to fix it but it will continue to bend and the problem will return. Ask me how I know. :-) Good news is the parts are readily available. Note the quote in the caption…”The weakest link in the bandsaw is the
top wheel hinge casting that supports the top wheel shaft”
The tension on the wheel at the top of the hinge is offset by the adjustment screw pushing on the bottom which bends the hinge.
