Many Craftsman routers only have a 1/4” collet, which limits the bits you can use. Whatever you get, be sure it will take a 1/2” bit (and of course will have a collet for 1/4” bits as well, or at least a sleeve. Dedicated collet is better, though. Same thing for Ryobi routers.
