Having this router fail might be the best thing that has happened to you lately…I had one and several months back I got a nice table and mounted it. I noticed the bit looked a little “blurry” when it was spinning. The main bearings were going bad and had a little runout. I pushed it to do “one last board” and it exploded. The body of the motor, the case, is plastic. The entire armature blew out from under the table and went spinning across the floor of my shop. I cannot quote the exact rpm’s, but it screams. I was lucky to not have gotten hit by it. You might not be so lucky when and if that thing decides to blow. Get a new one now and don’t look back….fanboys can bawl like a fat dog, but Sears didn’t go out of business because they sold great stuff!!! Try a Bosch.
