For support of a tool, such as a drill press on a rolling base I have often used CDX Plywood, low cost, and the 3/4” stuff often is supporting major roles in the houses we live in, so it’s plenty up to the job of holding up 180#. Generally for better wear, and less chance of delamination I mop on some Poly pre use, and allow that to dry well. Keep the higher cost stuff for something upright you will be looking at, like a cabinet.
