I spoke with someone from Jet today and he mentioned it might be the belt. I have the motor vee belt to be what I would consider rather tight. Looking at everything yesterday I took the belts off and checked them as well as the set screws but still had the issue. When turning the motor pulley by hand the arbor spins fine. I am using a Forrest 40 tooth crosscut/rip blade. Like I mentioned I can cut through thinner material such as sheet goods fine but it gets caught up on thicker stuff like 2xby material. If a key was broken would the arbor turn at all? I’m going to try and get a new belt and see if that helps.

Is it safe to assume the motor belt is probably slipping since I can rip thinner material, the arbor will turn by manually turning the motor pulley by hand and the belts still spin along with the motor running even though the arbor stops?
