Is it true that the used up Evaporust can be safely poured down the drain?
- fivecodys

They say it depends on the iron content… from the FAQ:

How do I dispose of the spent solution?
When EVAPO-RUST® is spent, only the iron content of the solution will dictate how it can be disposed of. In most cases it can be dumped into the city sewer.

The stuff is about as safe as it gets – it s water soluble, PH neutral, biodegradable, non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-flammable, and contains no acids, bases, or solvents. You could probably drink the stuff without any ill effects :) So really, it s just whatever you are adding (via rust removal) that would matter. For me, I don t have city sewer, so I typically just dump it out in the woods.

Cheers,
Brad

Thanks for the reply Brad.
Have a good afternoon!
