When shop wood turning vendors won’t find things like accuracy, load rating or max RPM listed which might seem minor to some but thought very important many years ago. Bought one from Grizzly almost twenty five years ago made in Taiwan for around $35 including shipping. Still using it on my Jet and the OEM LC that came with the late gathers dust. Today same or similar LC would cost me over $100 or more.

Like Jerry posted, a long nose LC would be very handy at times. My solution to not having a long nose live center was to turn a dead center out of wood before buying one. Still use it now & then and yes they burn wood as I turn if don’t watch it.

While not in the market for new LC, but if was would definitely take a look at these.

Triple ball bearings or type bearings, accuracy, max load, & max rpm very important info.

These might be more popular with many wood turners that need multiply tips. Similar to Nova, OneWay, Robust live centers.
