My first question, is are you use to working in cad type programs? If not, then simpler is better

I would recommend sketcup to start. It’s free (or there is a free version), and you can learn via a lot of sources on the net, with free videos, and other types of documentation. Cutlist is a plugin, that works great for parts.

You can create components of door parts and adjust via scaliing easily. This is just one option, but a good starting point.
