Might be a hard sell… from my experience, those little lathes are not all that great at wood turning and are better suited for machining small parts, particularly when paired with the milling attachment. My Unimat can do wood, plastic and metal, but I generally only use it for metal turning (bushings, knobs, spacers, etc…) along with an occasional plastic (HDPE) part. Is that $300 CDN you are asking for, or USD? Can’t really tell from the picture – do you have the cross feed or any of the metalworking specific attachments?
