You are right, Sketchup Make 2017 is available for downloads. Unfortunately it will no longer be updated but there are tons of models and tutorials out there that should keep it alive for years to come.

The on line version, as you noted, is woefully inadequate for the typical Sketchup user. Trimble promises to keep working on it but I wonder how many people will become disillusioned and go back to the earlier Make version.

Yeah, I had just assumed they took away some features in the web version so they could make more sales on the subscription and pro version. I doubt they’ll be keen to build it up any more and undercut their own sales.
