I gave up on hoping for tools or anything like this for Father’s Day, Birthday, Christmas, or any other gift giving holiday. Instead, I just find a project that needs the tool(s) I want and convince my wife that buying the tool(s) is cheaper than whatever alternative I find that is more expensive. It’s worked so far, but I think she knows it’s a game.

Several years ago, she got me a foot bath with some kind of vibrating nubs and some Epsom salts. Not sure why she thought I needed it, but that was the last time she tried to come up with something for me. We still tease her about it. I can’t really complain though, since I’m not too good at coming up with good gifts for her or my daughters.

I will get to spend the day in the shop and we will have a nice meal at the end of the day. That, in my opinion, is just about as good as it gets.
