Picked these up at a yard sale this morning for $45. A No 8, a No 6C, two No 4C, & a small Diston hand saw. I'm hoping to clean them up & use them if possible. All look to be in okay shape (except for the saw). I'll probably have to make some new handles, etc. but…. Let me know what you think. How did I do?
If I am seeing what you have there correctly, those items in that condition would be priced for a total of close to $200 in the flea markets / antique stores in my area, so I would say you got a bargain.
If it wasn't for having to leave Texas, I'd just about pack up and move up to Yankeeland just to be able to SEE something like this, let alone get a chance to buy it. All we have in yard sales and flea markets down here are used (unwashed) baby clothes and busted TV's.
If I knew you could take a joke I, too, would say "YOU SUCK"

(I've never seen a free range, in the wild #8 around here, closest was a rusty Record of the same size, passed on $125..)
