I am not sure how much I will use for precision angle cuts, it will be mostly 45 and 90 degrees

What is your advice

In my experience, baseboard installations are rarely simple 45 and 90 degree cuts. The best fit for outside corners will usually need a few degrees + or – because no walls are ever perfectly aligned and square. So, you ll probably need to make precise 88 degree or 92 degree miters to get the best fit. Inside corners are best fitted by coping one of the lengths against the other. A miter saw that can cut precisely could be a time saver in that regard as well.

Either saw will probably do an equivalent job of it but I d prefer the Hitachi over the PC. The idea of a miter saw with a folding mechanism like that seems to imply less accuracy for the convenience of saving space. The more moving parts, the less inclined I am to trust to will stay true and square.

I am inclined toward Hitachi too
The other option would have been a 10” similar deWalt 260CAD+ taxes more expensive
The Hitachi costs CAD200 no taxes
