I just installed a CV1800, and what redoak said is true. But I had the remote unit from my now-displaced Oneida to use. I built my wall bracket from some steel I had on hand and also used a dust bin that I had fabricated for my Oneida. But those costs do need to be considered. But I don’t think the biggest difference is price….it’s the noise. My CV (I have te 16” impeller) registers 92 dB when it’s running and a gate is open. If your shop is in the basement or an attached garage that may be a problem. BTW, should you opt for the CV, building your own remote with an Amazon contactor and other stuff will run about $30 (+/-)
