I got this in an assortment and there is no documentation on what the woods are. Most of them I can identify but this one has me puzzled. At first I thought it may be birds-eye maple but it is light as a feather and tears easily when turned. Looks great finished though! I also thought it may be buckeye burl but if so, it is from a tree that was left standing dead and dried up completely.
