I’m partial to the PM-1000—which should be a huge upgrade from the Dewalt jobsite saw. Perhaps you can negotiate down on the price—since a new one is slightly more than $2k.

I don’t own either saw you are contemplating (I have 20 yr old Jet contractor saw), but I think I may get the PM-1000 if/when my saw dies. I don’t have 220v—plus I have to get the saw down my basement stairs—so weight and power consumption are a consideration for me.
