I looked up that jointer and it s also made by a Toro. The bearings are the least of your troubles the knife gib parts are very similar to the ones craftsman used.
Not a great design in my opinion
Your knife shouldn t be thicker then the gibs. The gibs are held by two screws that wedge the knifes in the knife pockets. I think your gibs are not original.
I m confidant the knifes shouldnt be more than 1/8 thick.

I jumped to the conclusion that the gibs had 3 screws holding the knives in but I have not been that far in my tear down. Any recommended knives I should look at? Thanks for all of the imput so far!!
