Matt – my apologies for taking so long to respond. Life has been a bit crazy lately. In any case, I’m still in the process of refurbishing this jointer. Things are going well, it’s just taken me a while to get back in the swing of things lately. I updated my restoration blog yesterday with my latest entry. I’m currently in the reassembly phase now that everything has been painted, so perhaps I can offer some tips if you have any specific questions. Based on my experience, just putting the infeed/outfeed tables back on with all of the various parallelogram adjustment components is rather tedious, and certainly not as straightforward as one might hope…but it’s doable. If you have specific questions about the 3-phase to 1-phase conversion, I can help with that too. Although I have not yet run the actual machine, I did bench-test the motor using my newly acquired VFD and mechanical start/stop switch after tearing down the machine, and all seems to work well.
