Once I made some geometric furniture for a stone and tile business and we used dye stain on Birdseye maple and after clearing the piece with lacquer the Birdseye just popped. For the embellishments maybe producing these parts and prefinishing them in something like that may work. Dye comes in all the colors of the rainbow so your choices are endless.
