Oneida and Grizzly sell noise reducer kits for their dust collectors that is similar to the one linked. Available in common exhaust exit sizes from 5” to 8” with a little searching.

Have seen claims of a 10db noise reduction, but my ears tell me my 6” version only removed about ~3db which is still half as noisy? My guess is that a higher reduction is achieved when using smooth wall pipe on the exhaust? Using flex hose on exit to form a 90 degree corner adds some turbulence and seems to offer some reduction alone.
