Chris:
When I started out with my guitar business, I started with a FB page dedicated to the guitars. I would talk about them, post a lot of pictures of them, and I had a few hundred followers. To be honest, maybe over the 9-10 year period, sold maybe two guitars due to that page, but it was cheap advertising.

After a couple years later, I started a website, and had pictures of all my guitars, and added some other things that I was doing. The beauty of this was anybody could go to my website, look over the pics, and decide what they wanted. Not all the pictures were on FB, and not everyone is on FB. The website was better.
I’m out of building guitars now, and the website and FB page went down in January 2017.

About September 2015, I opened an Etsy store that sells golf club hat racks, and a couple other things. To date, I’ve sold about 175 golf club hat racks, and it does OK, not lighting the house on fire, but steady.

I don’t do Twitter or any of the other text based quickie services. Too many people with too much time on their hands, and a lot of them are negative. Don’t need it. Facebook is similar, but I kept it up and overall, the results were positive, even if it did not drive many sales. I got a few musicians who were playing my guitars, they posted pics of themselves playing on the page.

I also did a couple YouTube videos, as did some owners. You can still see some of them. Just type in Tsunami Guitars on YouTube, and they will pop.
I also got into a gallery, and now a second, and they sell a lot of my stuff. No guitars ever in the galleries.

So a multi-pronged approach.
