Unplug old one, plug in new one – should have spade connectors on them:

I’d test them first, which is super easy to do with a multimeter in resistance mode. Looks like the owner has already been messing with them as they have already been taken out from under their covers. Should be a simple fix, and even if it’s not a capacitor, 99.9% of the time it’s just something really stupid simple.
