LOL, my wife tried flocking some boxes this weekend, and here in Az. with no humidity to speak of, the glue dried so fast, first go around wasn’t too hot a finish. So she went and got some acrylic paint and lol, prepainted, then painted them again the color that matched the flocking material and went for it, have to say it worked much better, problem is and i can agree with this, even when gluing up pieces the titebond 2 dries really fast, so fast sometimes in just minutes i have to beat pieces into submission (making flush ect), anyhow, flocking is a learning curve, that she is working on, she did not get the suede material, but the other,
I will say her perseverance came thru and the second box drawers looked great
only four more to go, boxes that is.

Also on another note, i did buy into the wipe on poly, i’m on the fence, gonna give it another go on another project and see how it works out.
good luck, my first boxes were probably some of the toughest to do, not sure why i picked them, but learned a very valuable lesson, learn to cut them better, with a finer blade, otherwise, you sand, and sand and sand and sand and well you sand.

have a good day
Rj in az.
