Last year I made over 30 bandsaw boxes and soon learned that there is an awful amount of sanding required. Inside and out. I cut this sanding down, by a lot, by only sanding the outside of the box and the outside of the drawers. The inside of the box, and of the drawers, I applied flocking and that doesn’t require sanding. Flocking this way also makes the drawers slide in and out very smoothly.
