All,
I m looking for a bigger jointer as my projects are getting bigger and in turn so is the lumber I like to use. I found a listing for a Grizzly G0586. The guy has had it for a few years but it looks like it s in great shape. Concern I have is there are no wheels and I am reading articles stating that new it was about $600-700.
Thoughts?

What it sold for back when it was new is NOT relevant to today’s value. What is MORE relevant is… What does an equal sized model sell new for TODAY?
https://www.grizzly.com/products/8-x-72-Jointer-with-Mobile-Base/G0656 Sells for $985.00

I paid $700 for the G0593 back in 2010 (almost 8yr ago). It was the spiral-head version of that listing. A new one like mine now sells for $1,425.00

With all of that said, $450-$500 would/should be a fair price. FWIW, used prices seem to settle and hold at roughly 50% of what a NEW one sells for today. Good luck in hunting.
