I also cant speak to the first one…but I will say this, I have plenty of experience with diamond type hones of all brands and types. If there is one thing I learned the hard {and expensive} way it’s that cheap diamond stones are no good and do not last. Good ones are expensive for several reasons. Not all diamonds are created equal, they are not all mounted the same either.
As far as cost effective honing stones you might want to look at ebay under “razor hones”. I have bought several for pennies on the dollar there.
