I guess you have ruled out used, which would give you much more bang for your buck. You don t specify where you are, but I ve not found being in a rural area to be much of a problem finding equipment – in fact, it can sometimes be to your benefit. I may be in the middle of the woods, unable to get cell service or cable TV, but I do have some nice towns/cities within driving distance that I ve found some pretty darn good deals in.

I would probably have gone the used route also.
I picked up a Delta 36-T30 T3 fence (for $200) that you can install on a contractor saw and be well under $1000.

-- only an idiot dismisses an intelligent statement because they dont know anything about the person delivering it.
