When it comes to blades for resaw, the thicker the better. That being said, make sure it has the ability to really tension the 1 1/4” blade properly. I have a bandsaw that “can” fit a 1 1/4” blade but a 1” blade is better in that it can be properly tensioned. The larger blade is just a hair light and so has a little bit more flutter than it should have.

I would also just get a new blade. Even if it looks decent, the set may be off on the teeth and may not be sharp for good and straight cuts.
