I don’t have one of those gizmos and I don’t have any trouble with drift. My results are just as good just using the resaw fence. The trick is (with a crowned tire) to adjust the blade backward or forward on the wheel until it tracks parallel to the fence. You can even compensate for dull teeth on one side this way. The same adjustment will work just as well for ripping without fence angle adjustment.
