Yeah that sounds like terrible separation. Empty the bin and filter bag and try making some more dust. This time don’t use your planer. The 735 has a chip ejection fan that can give DC systems a little trouble. See if the problem persists. I know when I plane with my 735 I have to partially open a second blast gate for best collection.

I run a 2 hp wall-mounted cyclone, and I fill drum after drum of chips, and nothing makes it to the cleanout below the filter. 150 gallons of chips and dust in a weekend is not uncommon.

Laguna makes a doo-dad that can be installed in these and supposedly improves separation. I think there is a LJ forum about that.
