In fact, I have found it to be much stronger and harder than the generic sticks. I believe Ad Tech was one that I tried that was very weak.

I used the Gorilla brand to tack blocks on some small pieces so I’d have something to grip when I surfaced them on the belt sander, and it would not break loose when I wanted to remove them. The generic stuff is more flexible and pulls free much easier.

I wound up having to put them in the oven to get it to break free.

As a side note: I have tried different solvents and the one thing that removes the glue completely is denatured alcohol. It doesn’t dissolve it, but it allows you to peel it off. You have to repeatedly apply it as you peel back the glue, but it comes off cleanly.
