This RAS made by Dewalt/Black&Decker was selling by local Restore shop (Habitat for Humanity) for $20 only! It included 6" dado blade and a book by the manufacture.
Model: R1360
Type:A
Comes with Dewalt metal cabinet with rolling base.
I bought it and cleaned up. It works good. I was searching on the net about this model to know about it, but could not get more info. Please help me in any kind of review or comments on this RAS.
While you may get some good information here on LJ's you should join the The Radial Arm Saw Discussion Forum where you'll find a whole community of DeWalt RAS users with lots of great info, knowledge and even parts sourcing, if you need any.
Here's a great book. Mr. Sawdust specialized in DeWalts. http://www.mrsawdust.com/
His table design is great and well worth building. Also check out OWWM.org and VintageMachinery.org. You should be able to get good info there too.
Congrats on a great find. It looks hardly used.

I have a 770 deluxe power shop RAS which I believe might be a little newer than that one and is most likely a little bigger. It works very well. It will do a rip cut but I don't rip boards on it. I keep the blade sharp and still give it plenty of time to cut so it doesn't try to hog. I also keep the front of the saw slightly higher than the rear so the saw doesn't come forward on its own. I have other saws but I have hung on to this one because for some tasks it is hard to beat. Breaking down long boards for one. I have owned it for a lot of years now and it has been real reliable. Has kind of a crappy on/off switch but otherwise seems well made.
You need to join that forum that Ripper linked. There are some real Dewalt gurus there ad can help a lot. Couple of things: the Delphi platform is exceedingly annoying to use, it's the one platform I think is worse than this one (no offense to anyone intended). The second thing is the first piece of advice you will get over there is to "buy the book" that Rodney mentioned. He is correct, the Mr. Sawdust table is absolutely the best table for an RAS. But here's another opinion on the book (I have one). It's very expensive for what you get. There is some great Dewalt history, and some great info on building a corner cabinet. But the usage info on RAS use actually is a smaller part of the (expensive) book. I'm glad I have one, but I still think it's way overpriced. You can get other books for a lot less, and they will be just as good on the usage part. De Cristoforo's book can be had for $12 and uses that saw in it for his demo
I have what seems to be the same saw along with all books and paperwork. Bought it used from a neighbor(43 yrs ago) who was not able to adjust it correctly. Also included most all accessory's available like a motor mounted jigsaw and profile cutter plus a bunch of other stuff. Several years ago the motor went out and could not find replacement. Ordered one from sears for the current model at the time an was able to mount it with a little trouble. At that time I made the head immobile at 90 degrees and locked it into place with bolts, it is still at 90 after all those years and moves. We used it to construct four houses and thousands of projects. I still use it everyday. You,ve got a good-un. PM if you want.
Thanks everyone for the great input. I will go through the material and digest.
Happy saw dust making!
