I have a 10 year old Hitacho C10FSH.
Very good saw which is no longer made.
It started to run only intermittently, and the brake stopped working.
I replaced the brushes and the switch/trigger to no avail.
It's been sitting in the corner of my shop for months. Today I went to clean it off and test if and it fired right up!
But only for about 3 cycles. Now it's dead again.
Any ideas what the problem could be?
Trying to decide whether it's worth putting any more money into. If it does run, there is a strange blade wobble upon startup, then it balances itself after a second.
I replaced the saw with a Makita (piece of junk in comparison) but it would be nice to have a chop saw at home when Makita is parked on a job site.
Thanks for any tips.
