I would go with a 55 gallon drum if you can. I used a food dry storage drum and put a lexan window in it with rivets and silicone. It cost only a few dollars at a recycling center that specializes in such things.

Best of all if I forget to empty it at 30 or 35 gallons, no problem. What you don’t want to do is overfill a small bin, where chips start backing up into your filter.

I use a 2hp Penn State Tempest Cyclone and it works great.
