Powermatic tools will generally bring a higher price than most other brands from my experience. Here are a few reference points that might help you decide if this is a good deal or not.

A new straight knife 8” PM60 runs about $1900+shipping.

When I bought my PM60 earlier this year I scoured CL for months looking for a decent machine. I finally found one, straight knife like the one above and it sold for $750 in just a few hours (it was cleaner than the example above however).

Based on my discussions with PM tech support, the helical head can be interchanged for the straight head, they were in stock earlier this year when I checked but the cost is high, about $800 if I remember correctly.

I would not shy away from a dovetail bed machine. Every Bridgeport mill I ever used had dovetail ways and they were accurate to well under 0.001”.
