Fred, can the black handle on the front be removed from the 3725? I’m going to have to sand up flush to a wall in a corner, I want to use the ROS as much as possible to keep the hand sanding to a minimum.


I ve used a Bosch 3725 for more years than I can remember (15 +/-, I think), and to be honest with the optional connecting device and having it hooked to a shop vac, I don t see how a Festool can be better. But I did have to cobble together a vent arrangement with the vac, it actually sucked the sander into the wood and I was worried about wearing out the pad. Eventually I did buy a VS vac to solve the problem. I did buy the cheap Festool sander when it was released ($99) but I haven t used it yet.
