I have the aforesaid mentioned Craftsman 21833 since February 2010. I had some initial issues as some others also had. After these were addressed, I have had good service from this saw. Yes, the Craftsman 21833 is not anything like the older Craftsman saws. I will replace the fence when I can afford one, the miter was already replaced with an Incra V27. It runs smooth, passes the Nickel and Penny test. Would I put the 1.75 hp up against a 3 or 5 hp, no, but it does a wonderful job that meets my needs. If I could afford or could justify the need for a Powermatic and/or a Unisaw I would jump on one of them. I plan on posting a full review in the not to distant future
