180psi from a pancake (or any small compressor) is awfully high IMO. Sounds like the valve is working and preventing a catastrophe.

What do you mean the reg is set for 95psi? How is it getting to 180 if set for 95? What am I missing? The output is set for 95 but it is charging the tank past 180?
