If your glue joints are accurately made,
clamping can be done with minimal pressure.

The “rub joint” where the glued edges
are rubbed together and left to dry works
too if the joints are well made. Joints
can also be clamped with rope and tapered
wedges.

Whether you’ll be able to make straight
and true glue joint edges with the tools
you have is another matter.
